October: The Heart Across the Sea: A Norwegian-American Troll Story, an illustrated book in English

Dear Sons of Norway,

Warm greetings from Norway! My name is Ida Höglund, and I have written The Heart Across the Sea: A Norwegian-American Troll Story, an illustrated book in English for children ages 6–10 and family read-alouds.

Your work to preserve Norwegian culture and your heritage activities made me think this story might appeal to members sharing their roots with children and grandchildren.

Christina and Ola leave Norway for America carrying two tiny Norwegian hearts filled with love and memories of home. It is a story about courage, belonging, and finding room in your heart for two countries.

Meeting Norwegian Americans tracing their roots while staying at my guesthouse, and connecting with my own American relatives, helped inspire the book.

The poster includes an ordering QR code (see above).

Here is the book's page on ThriftBooks.

Thank you for taking a look!

Warm wishes,

Ida Höglund
